Latest News March 2010 – Dunlop are pleased to welcome Fernando Verdasco and Nikolay Davydenko as the latest tennis stars to join as brand ambassadors. The 26 year old Spanish ace Verdasco has signed an international contract for rackets, strings and accessories, while the Russian tennis ace, Davydenko will use rackets, clothing and accessories. Both players have also agreed to play a key role endorsing Dunlop’s junior talent identification programme – D-Squad. Davydenko is currently ranked no.6 in the ATP rankings, the Russian has been rising in prominence over the past few years with some strong performances, culminating in his sensational ATP title in London, where he became only the second person to defeat both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the same tournament. Verdasco capped off a successful 2009, in which he compiled his best career season by finishing in the top ten and qualified for his first year-end championship at the Barclays ATP world tour finals in London. The Madrid native also played a central part in helping his country win 2 consecutive Davis Cup titles, winning the deciding match in both years.
